It doesnt mean its not mopar, just means they werent taken care of. neither was the truck from the sounds of things. I saw alot of 3rd gen's in NY with rust on them. My co-worker had a 2008 that needed 2 new bed side panels (basically a whole new truck bed) in early 2010.

OK, this is good. It's not on the build sheet so likely it was a dealer installed extra. That should mean it's covered. I hope!

You mean you'd like my old ones if they give me new ones? I'll see what I can do.

I'm guessing if they do cover it the best I will do is a new foot pad.

Hell yes, thats what i mean LOL. I can take a foot pad off mine LOL.

THey will just replace them, because they dont make them anymore. I went to have mine replaced under warranty but they wouldnt do it cause I was over mileage. Mine look like hammered HELL. They cant replace any parts of them, only replace with new.

I assumed they would take the easy way out and fix the pad but you may be right; they may just replace them since Dodge covers the warranty. So if they replace them and are willing to give me the old ones, they're yours for the shipping.

Goodluck getting the old ones. I don't think there is an affordable set of good boards, tubes whatever that won't rust, fall off, bend, dent all kinds of problems and not just with Dodge they make they same crap to fit other vehicles. Since they made the height of the truck so high you would think they would have a factory built in running board like the 03 Durango had

They wont give him old ones, if he is still within the bumper to bumper, they either have to replace with the new style or reimburse him for the value.
