Default Temperature Question...

I have the stock thermostat, but recently got the hughes fi air gap intake to fix the plenum gasket problem, as well as a tune up (new rotor, cap, wires, plugs, and coil), as well as a oil change with royal purple oil. So before all this work my trucks temp guage read close to 210, on the left side of 210. After the work my trucks guage is reading I would say probley 140-150? Just above the white bar on the left side above the 130, I will post pictures tomorrow but does this sound right to anyone? Thanks for any info guys.

I would say possibly your sensor or the wiring to it is damaged.

thats kind of what I was thinking. maybe during the installation of the new intake? before the install it was running just under the 2nd line, now it runs just slightly on the right side of of the first line (the one connected to 2 other lines, with no number under it). seems really low..

Default what was your solution?

I'm having the exact same problem right now. I just installed a Hughes plenum kit which came with a new thermostat and now my max operating temp is ~150(verified with a infrared thermometer).
