Default Wife's car broke down this morning

The car just rolled over 100,000 miles, it has a few hundred more, and all we've done is rotate tires and change oil, and cleaned the plugs since we bought it with about 70k miles. When we bought it the tires and brakes were damn near brand new. It's a 2004 chevy aveo we bought it around 2008, great little economy car for her, getting her new tires tomorrow$300.00 for everything Gotta love these little cars sometimes... We are going to change the trans fluid, coolant, power steering fluid, and brake fluid in the near future, and it should be ready for another worry free 100k miles... By the way what broke was the 2 piece thermostat housing, it is like glued together or something from the factory, and the seam came apart. I'm glad the wife knows enough to pull over when the gauge starts rising, so now it will only cost me $50 isntead of an engine

Sounds like ya got her trained correctly....at least about how not to increase overheating damage...I suspect she has you pretty well trained on everything else.

My mom burnt my '67 ElCamino down to the ground when she lost coolant and kept on going....

lol yeah she's picked up alot about cars since we've been together, I pretty much am either always working on them or talking about them, cars, trucks, and motorcycles...We've been married about 6 months and I like to think that I am difficult to train lol, however, I'm sure I'll find out in the next few years that resistance is futile and it'll be all over for me...

Do you choose to be right? or do you choose to be happy? If you choose to be happy you'll allow yourself to be trained very easily LOL

Drove an Aveo once as a rental, wasn't a bad little car but good to hear she recognized something was wrong and pulled over.
