from the Y to the muffler is more than likely 3"...from the muffler to the tips (if running duals) should be 2.25...running single 2.5"-3" will be fine.

Are you "ordering" a DIY exhaust kit online? If so, can you share a site? I'm looking to order something in the coming weeks as well.

Thanks!

i'm just on truckexhausts.com. pretty inexpensive, you can pick your muffler, what size pipes, whether you want tips or not, and how your pipe is bent. looks pretty good.

the pipe diameter from the cat back is 2.5" so i would go with that. anything smaller will restrict flow.

Since it is a 360..I would go with no more than 2.5"

Latitud, would that be 2.5 single or dual. If it's a 360 wouldn't you want more flow, say, 3 inch? I'm not sure either, just wondering what would be best.

2.5 single or dual will give you more than enough flow. The CAT and the muffler are what is going to restrict flow. My 2003 5.7 has 3" single, but it was rated for more horsepower than the 360 was.
