I will tell you I was kind of scared on this one, 220,000 miles and never opened up....the exhaust bolts that were supposed to be 1/2" bolts were rusted down to 12mm and a few were down to 11mm lol. LOTS of crud cakes all inside the motor, but all the bolt came right out (I was shocked) i did break one exhaust bolt, but that was it.
I went into the intske and cut the center out under the tb, port matched the gaskets, cut the runners down and opened up the injector holes.
On the heads I port matched the intake runners, and did a lot of work on the exhsust side by opening the runners up, blended the bowls, and knife edged the valve guides.
I've mainly worked on the newer GM ls series engines and untill now forgot how much longer it takes to port iron heads lol the GM aluminum heads grind so nice and quick, snd are alot lighter than these Magnum heads lol just about threw my back out when i stretched across the motor to grab snd pull the 1st head out.
I'm pretty happy with the way the intake, tb, 1st head turned out, now im working on the 2nd head and hoping to be ready to reassemble by lunch
