easily adjust shift points, without a tuner
i remembered reading something when i had my durango about adjusting shift points, and when the transmission shifts at what rpm's. i did a little research on it today, and found a prette good write up on it. i did it on my truck and it works pretty good. slightly harder 1-2nd shift, and shifts at a higher rpm at WOT. heres the link to the site.
i also found this, but havent done it yet, so im not sure on how itll work.
for the line pressure adjustment, drop the pan and look on the drivers side of trans towards the front for an allen head screw on a plate with a spring behind it. Turn it 1 1/2 turns CCW for firmer shifts. this adj. will only give firmer shifts and will not change the shift points. you will have to grind down a 3/16 allen wrench to fit because the head of the screw is kind of close to the side of the trans case.
