also not just doing it for looks or to be a "4x4 wannabe"
im a POC firefighter so for brush fires and what not it would be niice to have that extra clearence..
and to ansewer my own question about the wheels im pretty sure i can just put way bigger tires on these because i saw a guy on here with a 6" lift and i wanna say 37s on the factory 20s...
anyways.. thanks..
hope to hear some input soon..
doing a little moddin as we speak..

Hey welcome to the forums. Sorry I havn't replied till now.

I am not much on Rc lifts but that is a pretty good deal. Yes you can put it on yourself. You might beable to fit 35's under your truck. If not 33x12.50 if you get a negative offset wheel anyway. Hope this helps.

I have a 6" BDS +2.8" with 37's.

There are a few trucks on here with that RC kit 3" and easily clear 33s. They could probably fit 35s if they wanted to.

It's really hard to find pictures of that kit for some reason.

If you think about it stock 2wd 1500s can fit 33s with stock 20" wheels so by lifting the front 3" and the rear 1.5" it would leave plenty of clearance for 33s and could fit 35s with proper backspacing.

true..thanks for the input guys!!

i really wanna find someone with this lift because i would like to know if i will have to shim the upper control arms out in order to get the alignment correct...????
and to see how hard it could end up being to compress the new longer front springs for reassembley of the lower ball joints....???
well... if anyone knows this info lemme know! thanks!
if i do end up going with this kit, it will be in about a week.. so ive got a lil time to ponder it..

Never heard of alignment problems from that kit but I don't personally have one.

In order to put the springs in you will need a spring compressor. There are many inexpensive ones out there to buy (Harbor Freight) or you can rent one from your local auto parts store.

If you check on youtube there is a guy who shows exactly how to pull apart the front end to put in spacers above the coils. It's a pretty good step by step process and in 2 parts.
