Great little mod that makes a big difference. Do you just spray this stuff on, or do you actually dip it as the name implies?

I just sprayed mine on, Ace Hardware had it for 7.99 a spray can, they also had the cans that u could dip stuff in. There was no prep work, just cleaned with alcohol wipe and dried it, then put 3 coats on. If you do it just take your time taking the bezel off so u won't break the plastic clips.

I'm going to do the same thing, you can tell right away that it will scratch just trying to keep the dust off it. Nothing worse than something that is made to look like chrome but scratches just looking at it. Blinding in the right light too. Thanks,
Dave

I painted mine today with Dupli-Color Black Metalic. It's really nice, here's a picture.

proudpapa, if you want me to remove my picture, just ask

I did a little prep.

1- Sanding with 400 grit, just to get the chrome rough.Dupli-Color suggess 600 grit, but i didn't have any.
2- Clean it with rubbing alcool.
3- Make sure it clean with no finger print.
4- Paint it. I did 3 coats.

It came out real nice.
