Default Fastman throttle body & catch install pics

Did my Fastman ported TB and catch can , It was killing me having my TB sit on my workbench for a week waiting for my catch can to arrive cause there was no way I was gonna but my new TB on without the can. And after seeing the oil build up on my stock TB Im glad I waited, some pics for you enjoyment.

Hi All:
Please explane the need for the catch can. I was doing the 25000 mile cleaning of my K&N filter and was expecting to see some oil residue on the bottom of the air cleaner housing. Everything was dry. Am I to believe the oil vapors just get sucked into the engine and leave deposits? How would the can capture them? Any info would be helpful.
Thanks
jimf5

The Catch Can captures oil that's headed for the intake manifold from the PCV valve, not from the air filter.

Stock [PCV]=>[Intake Manifold]

Modified [PCV]=>[CatchCan]=>[Intake Manifold]

The Billet Technology Catch Can catches oil and burn-off by-products headed for your intake via the PCV. Crank Case Pressure Control Valve.
Its a factory design flaw in the 4G's (IMHO) that engineers decided that oil blow by should be re-introduced into the engine to be burnt off.

Trouble is that oil residue in the form of a vapor coats the inside of your intake manifold and also reduces the octane level of your air/fuel mixture,
causes detonation and spark knock. It drips into your combustion chamber where no oil should be....Supposed to be nothing but Air,Fuel and Spark for peak performance and efficiency.

It's a simple 10 minute install with a utility knife, some WD40 and a 1/2 inch socket driver.

My Diablo Dealer is also a CMR Tuner and he wont even tune a new 5.7L Eagle Hemi or a 6.1L SRT8 that doesn't run a Catch Can.

This is how much I caught in just one week and one night at the track

[edit note] My Fastman 85mm Just arrived too, was waiting for me when I got home
Dan's turn around time is Amazing "Fast Man!"...even when international shipping to Canada.

Does anyone know if a catch can will void my factory warranty? Sounds like a great product, but just don't want to screw anything up.

There is no way it should affect warranty, the only effect it has is extending your engines life by removing Bad Oil from contaminating your intake.

If you're paranoid though, swap it out and reconnect the stock tube in 5 minutes before you take it in for service/warranty work.
