Wild Cat I do not blame you not one bit! I would be pretty P.O.'D too. We like to go set off fireworks, but we do it outside the city around a bon fire a couple times a year..that's...IT. But you are far more forgiving than I. I would have called the cops on them a long time ago. I love watching fireworks..but there comes a point when enough is ENOUGH. There should be rules..no fireworks between the hours of 1am and 6pm...at least then average people could get their sleep.
Here's hoping you get some ret tonight my friend...if not I have a spare set of ear plugs you can use!

LOL Justin!

My neighborhood sounds, looks and smells like a war zone for three or four days over this holiday, depending on what day is the 4TH. I know I am not gonna get much sleep tonight. I have some very rabid fireworks fans for neighbors.

It's possible they won't be as crazy being that most of them have to go back to work tomorrow. Also, they may tone it down as a show of respect for my neighbors across the street, who lost their 21 yr old son in a vehicle accident Friday night.

I've got the crazy neighbors too! They tend to set off the fireworks for several days before and after an authorized holiday. Fortunately we've got a city ordinance that makes it illegal to set off ANY fireworks after the hours of 10pm and before (I think) 10am. Both the police and the fire department stictly encorce this

We won't be having any fireworks this year though. We've had so little rain that there is a burn ban pretty much everywhere around here, and that translates into a fireworks ban too (at least for most locations).

I wouldn't have a problem with the fireworks if they were used responsibly, AND the person setting them off made an effort to try and find the carcasses. Unfortunately noone around here does that

Yeah I called the police Sunday night at 12:15 AM. and they said that they were supposed to have stopped at 11:00. It came to a halt about 20-30 minutes later, I assume when the officers showed up.

Thankfully last night it all stopped around 11:30. Late, but not so bad that I didn't get a good night's sleep.

Today, it was like driving through a war zone to get out. The least they could do is pick up their trash.

I kinda agreee with the fireworks getting out of hand. They should have it where you have to stop shooting them at midnight period. If you live in town anyway. My neighbors set them off all night long till about 4 this morning. We went to watch the big ones at corporate woods in KS and they were cool!! One of the best fireworks display I have seen. Then I get hiome and see these pidly little booms in the air.Wow they suck and they are loud haha. You would think they would be a huge forwork for as loud as it is. The morders you buy these days blow. Thats why I don't waist my money on them anymore.Just not worth it to me. I would rather take my familly somewhere and watch the big ones.No offence to the people that set them off themselves. I did it for years.

Problem is not the fireworks, its the people..... sort of like "guns don't kill people, people kill people", well, "fireworks aren't inconsiderate and dangerous, people using them during a drought, at 3am, and look down the mortar to see why it didn't go boom in their front yard around dead leaves are inconsiderate and dangerous"... There's too much governing and enforcement as it is, please don't fight for more!

Not saying I am fighting for more. I am just saying people should stop shooting them at midnight. I wont argue with anyone on this.Everyone has their own opinion on this. Some people have to get up at 6 in the morning and can't sleep because someone is shooting fireworks at 4 in the morning. I say just shoot a mortar right at them.Might be a little harsh. Bet they would stop shooting fireworks so late haha.
