A sort of simple explanation of water and dust proofing. Waterproof LED lights come in IP-65 thru. IP68
IP. The first digit-6- Wire protection dust-tight. (as IP4 Tools, wire, and small wires diameter 1mm and greater),
IP. Second digit-5- Protected against low pressure jets of water from all directions
IP. Second digit-6- Protected against heavy seas or powerful water jets (flooding)
IP. Second digit-7- Protected against the effects of temporary immersion in water
IP. Second digit-8- Protected against the effects of continuous immersion in water
