Default 10 lug conversion

I have an '06 2500 quad cab and I want to convert it to a 10 lug dually. Anyone here done a dually conversion? What about the 10 lug conversion? It's looking like big money but I'd like to know if anyone has run into any problems...

I would be guessing here, but it sounds like you would have to buy a dually rear axle, the wheels, maybe springs too & bed sheet metal
maybe a different drive shaft & change the brake lines a bit

Take into consideration your frame length, is your Ram a long bed?
a short bed may not work & may look strange if it did

I don't have any experience with this type of conversion. Giving it some thought, GT is on the right track. The dually also has different suspension mounting points so at least 4 brackets would have to move, different shocks are needed, there may be a sway bar and links to add, etc....

Good luck with your project! Maybe I'll see ya around the Portland area. Don't forget to wave!

The wheels just need adapters for 8 to 10 lug, not sure about making a single wheel a dually though.
