Default oil

It cost more but the performance and mpg will be better. Go for it.

No negative affects have been reported. Just make sure you use the proper weight oil to preserve MDS functionality.

it's good oil, like Maddog says, use the correct weight, and you'll be fine.

I used Castrol for years, but then discovered that Wally World had the 5 qt jug of Mobil 1 for less money, so I switched to that. I'd probably still be using the Castrol is I wasn't so cheap

why synthetic anyways? more expensive, does same thing regular oil does (lubricates) and then you're stuck using it after that 1st time....

our mechanics for our police fleet (about 70 vehicles) use Napa brand oil and filters...we drive them a lot harder than I drive the Ram and we don't see any issues stemming from oil brand.

just my .02 though.

Thats why police forces get rid of their cars around 100k though...usually 125k, because they know their life is pretty much over

In my opinion using a higher quality when it comes to protecting a $40k purchase isnt a bad thing. Its a preventative thing, but thats just my opinion
