I am sure you are going to have a lot of comments on here from much better experts than myself. I would probably go with the 2.5 and get a little bit of back pressure on it. I researched a lot when putting a exhaust on my truck and from what I experienced it seems that the Hemi likes a little bit of back pressure so going too big, will make you lose in low-end torque. There are many others on here that know much more than me though. Just from what I read.

2.5 inch would be recommended to maintain exhaust system backpressure. Tip size is whatever looks good to you.

put a chambered muffler on like a hooker aerochamber, magnaflow, or flowmaster super44. It'll sound better then just straight exhaust and add the little bit of back pressure your motor needs

It all depends on your truck, is it a daily driver? an occasional driver? a road racer? I would say 2.5 for a daily driver, 3 inch for an occasional driver you beat on and 4inch for a road racer that sees primarily high rpms

What else is done to the truck? Are you looking for sound, better performance all around, high end performance?
