Default Brake master cylinder problem?

Hi everyone,
Brand new to the forum, I have an 04 Dodge 2500 2wd deisel engine with about 90k miles on it. Mechanically, it has been pretty much trouble free(the interior is another story).
Yesterday I drove about 10 miles to work, let it cool down and turned it off, as usual. When I got out i heard a faint whirring sound, not enough to worry me. When I come out 20 minutes later, it is still happening, so I lift the lid. The sound is much more distinct and it is like a small electric motor coming from the vicinity of the master cylinder. The only way I can get it to stop is to disconnect the the positive cable from both batteries.

Any ideas and am I asking in the right forum?

Hi and a warm Carolina welcome to the best RAM ForumZ on the web. How about jumping over to the Newbie Checkin and posting a few photos of your truck? As for the whirring sound someone will be by that can help.

That sounds like a fuel or lift pump issue to me.

Try disconnecting the lead to one, then the other, and see if it stops.
