Default K&N drop in filter

Just wondering if it is worth my while to buy a drop in K&N or should I just wait to buy my CAI. I don't plan to buy the CAI till next spring so was just wondering if anyone has any feedback on the drop in. Is there any benefit to the drop in if I am just going to use it for 10 months or so.

Thanks for any feedback.

Their is a benefit, to the k&n but if younger going to but the CAI then I would just wait. If you are like me then once you put the drop in you will never do the CAI

A new drop in is a waste of money for temp use.

a. If you want a drop in, get it.
b. If your going a full CAI unit, save the cash for the CAI.
c. If your present filter is dirty, blow it clean for a temp use, or change it, a stock filter is cheap.

If your not planning on getting a CAI is the drop in worth the money?

The drop in helps but no where near as effective as a CAI.

If a CAI is in your future plans, save yer money and skip the drop in.

Thanks for the feedback guys, will probably wait for the CAI, or just push myself to do it sooner, I live in Ontario and make a trip to see some friends in Ohio every spring so will probably wait till then unless I can get a smokin deal here in Canada.

Ya know, ive ran both. I couldnt really tell the difference between the two in power output. The cai sounds cooler! They both filter the air great. And thats what its all about. Rite??? The cai deffinately looks cooler though. Both are better than a stock filter either way.
