Default Need Help 2004 Dodge Rear End Rebuild

Hey guys was looking for some advice or guidance. I have a 2004 dodge ram 1500 QC 4x4 6' bed. I bought the truck with a blown rear and transfer case. I was told very common problem. Well i bought a rear with 3.92 and good housing. My old housing the pinon came right though the bottom. Well i keep being told the the retianer rings for the lds clutch are what come loose and blow the rears apart. Is there any permanent solution to fix this? any help would be nice. I dont want to put it together and install it if theres a fix. Maybe like use a different clip or adjust it differentially. My dads a pro engine and rear builder but would rather be giving him some info. He said the the chrysler 9.25 has been around for ever and doesnt know why dodge is having so many problems. thanks for any help

The only solution I can see is to go with an aftermarket rear diff unit such as an Auburn. Practically all the rear ends I build are either from the failure you mentioned or bearings that have gone out for whatever reason.
