Default 2010 Ram Lift Questions. Rought country?

So i was looking at lifts and stopped by my local shop to price some of the Lifts. I was Quoted around 2400 for a BDS Lift with not much differance between 4In and 6in. This does not include tires, wheels, Install, or a steering stabilizer that they recomend. As I looked over the interent I have seen so many lift set ups. I have even called the dealer for the 4in mopar lift which they cant seem to find or price. I have seen the Mopar kits for around 2400 too. My question is it seems like Rough country kits are around 1200 dollars and look like they include all the same parts as everyone elses kit? Any thoughts on this and why is the price so much cheaper? Thanks

Because the parts in the BDS kit are better than the parts in the Rough Country kit.
Better made, last longer, etc. You get what you pay for.
I'd recommend the BDS lift or the Fabtech lift.
They'll be more expensive, but be better quality.

The Mopar lift is so expensive because it's Mopar. Anything that gets anywhere close to the dealer is going to be expensive.

Exactly right. You do get what you pay for. I got my BDS 6" lift for 1900.00. I love it and would not change it for anything!!

If you need nerfbars I have some forsale if interseted. I have only had them for about 8 months and they still look new.

Zone offroad makes a cheap kit too and I've heard that their used to be two owners of BDS and they split up and the one started Zone offroad.

Zone is the sister to BDS. It is very good lift too.

bds has a life time warr. that is what i was told at a local shop and i was told 1900 installed . and then wheels and tires are 2400 , so maybe i can do it a little at a time . but was also told that i could fit 35 on my leveled truck

Go with BDS, superlift, zone, pro comp if they make a kit yet. Rough Country is cheap because the parts are cheap. I got a lift level kit for my 08 and the hardware sucked, the blocks and spacers were ok but the instructions suck and I just wasn't happy with the hardware, they can't spend the extra bucks and use grade 8? I wouldn't reccomend RC, ecspecialy with a full suspension lift.

I have a few friend s with RC lifts on there jeeps that seem more off road abuse then most of the rams on this forum and they have never had problems
I will agree that they use more inexpensive but I wouldnt say they are cheap or poorly made. They also carry a lifetime warranty very similar to BDS
If your looking to do hardcore off roading go it might be worth the money for BDS, if your looking for a set of bigger tire with occasional weekend off roading the RC lift may be a better bet(not saying that it can't handle hardcore off roading)
