I appreciate the work that went into it... but I can only wonder WHY! If it's a dedicated mudbogger then fine, have all the fun you want, but it's got a decent paint job, so i'd be too worried about it.

I'm sure they are not all this way but my buddy has a Ford jacked up a hair less than that one and it rides like a wagon with square wheels. I wouldn't trade my truck for two of them. The noise and ride quality is horrible.

Yes, there is a front drive shaft.... Look through the front step bar opening and you will see it ( about a 45* angled shaft running from the yolk to transfer ) For a minute I thought there wasnt either but a steering wheel shaft isnt that big and wouldnt run past the frame anyways... drive shaft it is!

You guys are pretty much right on with most of stuff. I had a 3/4ton 7.3L very similar to that, tires were only 40's, but I was looking at tossing on those military 46" as somebody had a good deal for me on them, but they are soooo heavy almost twice as heavy as the nitto mud grapplers I had.

The ride is not so bad though, I thought mine rode pretty dang good for what it was. I had a high steer knuckle on mine and there was no death wobble or or anything.

That front drive shaft gets very complicated at that thing. The transfer case was "indexed" on mine, plus you still needed a high angle U-Joint so you don't blow it from the torque when you actually NEED the 4x

These things are definitely NOT offroad machines, they are just way to dang big to get into any trails. My biggest gripe was the noise, the older SD fords sucked to begin with for cab noise, but toss on 40" mudders and it sounds like a constant humm from a twin prop airplane.

Mine barely fit through most drive thrus!!

THe for sale signs were also in sealed ziploc baggies tied to the frame so one could read without standing on a ladder.

There was a truck part (brand new/replacement) in the truck bed. I dont recall what the paperwork said it was but I am pretty sure it was the front drive shaft.

I think what you are seeing is the leaf spring.
