I've got a 2010 Laramie that already has the b/u camera. I was wondering if it's possible to upgrade the program so the display has the parking lines like the newer models?

No, you would need to replace with the latest revision camera.

Pretty much what I thought. Do you know if the new camera will plug right up to my cabling and how much it might cost?

Yes, plugs right in, same camera just the latest revision has grid lines built in. Part# for camera is 56054164AB. Dealer price is $257, cost at mopar-wholesale is $177.10, lots of dough for a camera with a crap picture IMO.

So you're saying the backup camera is not good. I have a 2012, without the backup camera, and was looking to buy the camera for it. Is the video really that bad? Or is it better for 2012?

Imo the color is terrible and low resolution. Don't get me wrong I can make out what I need to but I just bought a camera for the front for $20 and it blows the picture away on the down side I doubt the camera will last as long . I think this summer I will replace the OEM rear camera with a aftermarket, it shouldn't be to hard to adapt it to the OEM harness.

I just purchased the new camera from Dodge. If anyone is interested in buying the one from my 2010 Laramie, make me an offer. Perfect condition.
