Default Why not 285/65/20?

I must say, when i have been tire searching, most brands do not offer this size. Many offer 305/55/20 but thats a shorter tire, im looking to get one a bit taller with a leveling kit but then im really stuck for options. Basically just the bft tire which isnt my favorite a/t tire, its very hard.

Anybody know why this size is not offered by most brands?

I've noticed the lack of choices in that size too. Really drives the price up.

Yea I know, I really don't want to run 305/55's when I level the truck, I wanted a tire that would be a bit taller and wider without rubbing....

I am running 305 50 20's on my 2010 ram and there is no rubbing.. they are a bit short but they dont look too bad... the rear wheel-well looks a bit empty but it looks more like i lifted it up an inch or two.

Guys- So on my 08' Big Horn 4x4 I want to keep the stock wheels but I want to get the Nitto Terras 295/60/20. Will they rub? Do i need a leveling kit? Spacers?

Right, they'd be virtually the same height as stock and imo, the extra width actually makes them look shorter on the truck.

I'm guessing you will have some rubbing stock.

Yea but whats the point of that? Lift the truck and put on a shorter tire? To me it looks worse then the stock tire. The point of a lift is height, i dont see the point of lifting just to put a street style tire on it. I want a tire to help fill in the extra space i created with the lift, not make a bigger space lol

I have 285/65R20 BFG All Terrains on my 06 Laramie with a 2'' Truxxx Leveling Kit. No rubbing with 20x9 Wheels with a +15mm offset. I beleive Goodyear makes the Wrangler MTR-Z in the same size.

When I replace these I am going to a 295/65R20 Nitto Trail Grapplers msot likely.
