Exclamation smaller rim size

I'm new to this site hopefully someone can help me. I bought a 2007 ram 1500 about 5 months ago and i really have no need to have 20'' rims on it, i mainly lift my trucks and put bigger tires and all 20's do is make tires more expensive. Can someone tell me what the smallest size rim is i can put on my truck without it rubbing against the caliber or anything? I emailed dodge and they told me to talk to a dealer, i talked to 2 deals and they told me to talk to dodge, its an endless circle.

I'd suggest 17's. Lots of tire choices, lots of wheels to choose from, lower prices on both!

I think you need at least 17" to clear calipers....could be wrong though...

I was in the same boat. I did find a few very crazy people who were willing to cut and grind the Brake calipers to fit 16 1/2 rims. I plan on sticking with 17" rims.

Good Luck deciding on the style.

Mostly folks to run lighter 16" rims/slicks in the rear for the track.

These are the stocker tires on new 17x8.5" rims. I'm going to go up a few sizes and probably try some 33x12.50 or 305/70/17's depending on what I can find after I wear these out. I want to now but no point in throwing out perfectly good tires.

Oh, and discount tire is where they came from. Go to www.tires.com and they'll hook you up if you call. I got all 4 wheels, lugs, TPMS kit, center caps, and hub rings for $435 shipped to my door.
