Default Knock Sensor Code after header install

Installed JBA shorties and a pair of magnaflows last week. Performance is great. However, a got the service engine light which I checked out at AutoZone. A knock sensor code. Is this common for an exhaust install. I did a little a search and really only came up with people not re-installing senor correctly or damaging the cable. I was having some rough engine prior to the install. Yesterday I put a bottle of injector cleaner in the tank. I reset the code. I drove for about 30 minutes, very easy on the throttle, before the sevice engine light came on.

Just looking for ideas and if anyone has had a similar problem.

This is straight from the JBA website:

*The product accompanying this document is legal only for off-highway use (except in California or states that have adopted California emission standards), racing use or for use on pre-emission-controlled motor vehicles/motor vehicle engines (pre-1974 domestic vehicles certified to California standards, pre-1974 domestic vehicles certified to federal standards and all pre-1974 foreign vehicles), per the manufacturer’s application guide.

Installing these headers are meant for power, not for emissions, is what that statement is basically saying. Now, I could see an O2 sensor code, or other emission codes, but the knock sensor sounds troubling. I would check your wiring, making sure that the knock sensor is getting the correct voltage it needs. If the wiring is faulty, you've found your problem. If not, I'd suggest replacing the knock sensor itself.

Make sure the dip-stick tube is not hitting the headers, I know this sounds petty but ive heard of this show up in the knock sensors

Has anyone with an 09 ram with broken exhaust manifold bolt had the know sensor code come up, Or if you went with a heavier weight oil ? I've replaced knock sensor and it was off for about two weeks and then came back on , I haven't had the exhaust fix as I want to get headers and cat back exhaust

I threw the same code. Says oil change due...
I just installed ARH longtube headers few weeks ago, went a whole week before the code poped up. But i had my oil changed like barely over a month ago. Buddy at the dealership told me a trick with resetting the code, something like..

-pump the gas peddle all the way to the floor once
-turn key to "on" possition
- pump the gas peddle all the way to the floor 3 times
-turn key off
-then start truck

It turned it off for me, and has been fine fr a few days now.
I'll check for the dipstick trick that Chris B suggested, and my new trinity tuner is coming next week.
Also before the code i notced my exhaust leaked at the Y pipe with the clamp, so i had it welded.

Thanks AlmostSleezy,

I never had a knock sensor code come up till after I did my oil change in which I used 10w30 motor oil , I have a broken exhaust manifold bolt (which is common on the 09 rams) but that's been that way since I bought it , I've replaced the Sensor light was off for two weeks came back on yesterday just weird
