I am reading carefully but your posts often contradict themselves.
You keep saying a 2WD is a second faster than a 4WD. Its not!

If (by your Claim of a second faster) Brad had 2WD, why do you also say in the same sentence
that he would go from 14.6 to 14.2? I dont know if its your comprehension or your math skills
...but that's 4 tenths difference and NOT a second!

Why did you not respond to my other post a few pages back,
the one with the White R/T that I posted time slips/photos from?

That was a pretty close 4G 2WD vs 4WD comparison
Adam ran a 14.107 (2WD) side-by-side against me (4x4) at 14.389
That's less than 3 Tenths difference!

We had Identical Mods at the time, (intake/exhaust/tuner)
even the same freaking DR's on both RCSB trucks!
WHY did he (with 4.10 gears to my 3.55's) Not Totally Smoke me by a Full second??? by your claims he clearly should have.

I'll tell you why, because the difference is Not a second 2wd vs 4wd, not even half a second.
if Both Rams run in 2wd. You know the 4WD setting is selectable right? (Not full time 4WD transfer case in a 4G)
I can and still DO run it in 2WD most of the time, and its still not a second slower if I use AWD/4WD either.

I've raced another bud (catsltd) with a Long Box Reg Cab 2WD,
and he had the same DR's, ARH LT Headers, Superchips tune and 3.92's.

...did he beat me by a full second? Hell No!..Grant (catsltd) ran 14.488 to my 14.453.

So there ya go, BRH's 4WD vs Two different 2WD 4G Hemi Rams
that were NOT a second faster! even though both had better gearing!
All 3 running the same drag tires. We had two sets (Grants and Mine)
The only real difference was I ran all 4, the 2WD's ran rear only.

I'm trying my best not to argue for the sake of arguing, but document my runs with a half dozen fellow ram owners with video, photos and time slips.

Between about 6 of us locals we have almost every combo you can get in a 4G Hemi Ram.
And we have all made at least 50 runs last fall...most of them head to head so there's no issues trying to calculate DA for different conditions.
I can assure you I am not simply pulling random numbers outta my @ss

I was refering to a post that someone posted about 4x4 running mid 16's, My 2wd with intake and exhaust ran 15.2 thats about a second faster....Maybe its 3g rams...I dont know about 4g...Look all I am saying my 2wd with mods that I have beats a my buddys 4g 4x4 with intake and exhaust, and my 2wd is about second faster than 3g 4x4 if its true that they ran mid to high 16's....BlackramHemi you are the fastest its ok your buddy's 4x4 4g should run 14.6 look at all the mods he has everything I have plus y pipe and 45 extra horses on top of that...

I don't know what everyone's fussing for! You all have relatively fast trucks! My damn slow beast got beat by a V6 Tundra the other night with no mods lol.

Allow me to simplify this for you ...

If you line up two Rams from the same Gen, on the Same track, Same Day and run them side by side with time slips and photos THEN you have eliminated as many variables as possible...

Can you see how this just might be a little more accurate then what "some guy posted"?
Spec's man! we need details! tire sizes, gear ratios' mods' track location and DA ????

Can you honestly compare your Ram with one that made a mid 16's pass on a different track in a different city on a different day,
with different temperature at a different elevation? Really? if any of those variables are introduced your theory is flawed, add up enough of them and you couldn't be more wrong for attempting a fair comparison.
Do you understand the DA alone can make that 1 second difference? Do you understand what Density Altitude is?
You're running at sea level right? If I came down there, with my Buddy, our 4x4's would be a more than half second faster than they are here
...on a good day with cool air almost a second quicker than our worst runs here.

You want the REAL answer to the difference in ET's between models?...It's Weight! Whether is 3G,4G,4WD,2WD,RC,CQ,CC

There's about 300-350 pounds difference between 4WD and 2WD Rams (depending on model) Sport vs Sport, QC vs QC...etc.
...that translates to about 3-3.5 Tenths of a seconds, ask anyone who is a track regular. 100lbs less is good for 1 tenth off your ET.
So that means about 3 tenths faster for a 2WD over a 4WD if its the same model eg:Reg Cab vs Reg Cab.

There's also about 300 pound difference between a RC and a QC (2WD vs 2WD, or 4WD vs 4WD)

~So a RCSB 4x4 is pretty close to a QCSB 2WD in weight
..and the times will be similar too, on the Same Track, Same Day, Same Time of Day.

Please tell me you're starting to grasp a little of what I'm telling you.
I'm not out to prove I'm the fastest/best...I'm trying to give you proof that I can back up what I'm telling with documented examples vs "What some guy posted".

I had a 3G Hemi too (a 04' 4x4 QC Sport), the same formula holds true for 3G's Rams
The biggest difference is the added weight when running 4WD vs 2WD trucks of the same year/model/make.

4x4's will always have the advantage from the git-go, the extra weight becomes a factor towards the end of the track...if I had 4x4 traction with my track trim, I would be running consistent 12's on motor..as it is I can only run 13.0x's because i have to feather it off the line...
