Yeah there was no way. The hole in that filter was TINY. Like pencil eraser size. So I had to make something work. This was it.

I found that you can buy different size of breathers from 9mm to 18 mm inlet....i will do that mod on my 2012 next week!I just need to take measurment in case it's not the same as you gave us.

I take it this mod is for both the 4.7 and the 5.7? If anyone has done this on the hemi, have you noticed any improvement power.performance wise?

Just an FYI, I'm pretty sure that breather hose is the breather that let's clean air into the crankcase. If so, then this mod doesn't do anything, which is fine, just an FYI.

Air enters the breather(from the filtered side of the air cleaner) and then gets circulated into the crankcase then out the PCV on the opposite valve cover.

If you do this mod you are just giving the breather it's own filter instead of sharing the regular air filter.

Me too!!!!But on the 2012 the hose is going to the driver side near the oil filler neck...and there is a king of black plastic square thing...don't know if i can do the mod...

Probably, but I'm not very familiar with the layout of the breather and pcv on the hemi. Just about every modern engine uses this setup though.
