It is straightforward - use the cleaner after you skuff things up. Mask off what you don't want painted. We'll be watching for photos of the work.

I bought the duplicolor kit that you brush on in red from UAP NAPA. First time I used VHT spray on Caliper paint however I re did them with the brush on and it worked much better. Good luck, waiting on those pics.

Have you guys considered caliper covers instead of painting? They give a look more like after market calipers. They aren't super cheap though; a couple hundred bucks for all four I believe. Those are on my list of dress up mods.

Ya I thought of them and may still put a set on. I really painted them because I hate that rusted look . Just putting on covers will not prevent the calipers from rusting.

Some pics of the finished process. The kits is pretty easy to use. Would recommand it to anyone. I got it off of ebay. The hardest part was removing the dang tires in the so fla heat.

looks pretty good, got a big pic with the whole truck in the picture?

Did you do much masking with this product? Did 1 kit last for all 4 calipers?

I just did this with some high-heat rattle cans- one can of primer, two dark red, and one can of clear- and it looks great. A nice little detail without overdoing it.

those look really good man, I did my calipers and drums with duplicolor caliper paint, I didnt put any clear though...didnt think about it at the time. Mine turned out alright I like to think. Really cant see the calipers because of the stock 3 spoke wheels but the drums stand out pretty well. only upside of having the drums haha

Y'all make this sound like such a complicated process...I went and bought one bottle of $8 spray paint from autozone, and painted mine during a tire rotation. No scuffing or cleaning necessary, my truck was brand new. I just masked off some areas I didn't want painted, and then I painted them calipers!
