Ah so it would have to be the 730N..... so you either go with the more user friendly navigation and find the traffic jams on your own, or the one with the less user friendly, but traffic avoiding model.....

Thanks Dodge for letting us have our cake and eat it too! :P

What makes the 730N less user friendly? I have it and have had no problems. Just curious.

From what I've read, most agree that the Garmin layout is a lot more user friendly in the 430N than the layout.

I have the 730N and have had no problems with it at all, it is easy to use, but I have never used a Garmin. I will say the Traffic feature is okay but I have found that it isn't "current" information on the traffic situation. Yesterday I was heading home on the interstate and it wanted to reroute me around an accident. I decided to stay on the interstate, did not reroute and found no accident or slowdown the whole way home. Maybe it is more accurate in a bigger city....

Yep I agree no problems with my 730N. I primarily use a TomTom in my other car which doesn't have factory GPS and can go between the 2 with no problem.

So I looked at my build sheet and saw that it had the Sirius Travel Link listed. I called Ram and they referred me to Sirius. Sirius said I was supposed to have been sent an update disc for the headunit. I called Ram back and asked about the disc. They said the discs are sent out in batches along with a welcome kit so I should have it in a week. I found an image file of the disc online, updated the headunit and now have Travel Link! Kind of neat to be able to get the weather forecast, movie times, and local gas prices all from the head unit.

After a lot of he said she said going on, I decided to get a REAL answer, LOL. I emailed Garmin on the navigation portion of the radio and here is their response...

"Thank you for contacting Garmin International.

Unfortunately, there is no traffic provider that would integrate into
the mapping on this particular unit. I know some of the Chrysler
vehicles have Sirius traffic, but this does not integrate with the GPS."

So the official answer is No.. but maybe they could figure out a way to integrate it later with an update?? That's only speculation though.

Yeah, that's kinda how I felt about it, Travel Link is kinda sweet though. Found out that the Shell Station 2 miles away from my normal one is consistently 20 cents cheaper! Saved me money already.

Maybe if we all keep bugging them about the traffic they'll add it.
