When you turn on your truck, the Nav button in the upper right corner of your radio should be colored in like a map if it has been updated with the software that has travel link. If it's blue like the other buttons you need to do the update. The button for Travel Link is in the main menu. Hit the Menu button on the right side of the radio and it should be towards the bottom of the menu

The Travel "Link" button is visible when you hit the menu button on the 430N. The "traffic" feature is not available on the 430N.

From what i remember from a month ago, If you have the 430N
it was suppose to come out in the 2011 models with Sirius Travel, many of the units did NOT have it, others did. Chrysler is sending out a CD that is suppose to correct the missing software, they send it directly to the purchaser & it can be installed by the owner or by a tech at the dealership, it takes about 15 - 20 minutes to install, it may appear not to be installing, but it is. Towards the end of the install, you are prompted to do a few things & then you will be upgraded.
Because of the software mistake, you will be given 1 year of Sirius Travel & i believe 1 year extra of Sirius itself

Don't take this as gospel, i have been driving a lot this past month, almost 8,000 miles & things are sort of fuzzy in my mind

Here is what i did find

SiriusXM™ Travel Link™ Update Policy

Technical Service Bulletin
NUMBER: 08-020-11
GROUP: Electrical

http://www.wk2jeeps.com/tsb/tsb_wk2_0802011.pdf

receive a SiriusXM™ Travel Link™ upgrade CD direct from SiriusXM™ via postal
Mail.

upgrade CD as part of their SiriusXM™ welcome kit.
Customers will be instructed to contact the Chrysler Help Center at (800) 247-9753 if
they encounter any issues while performing the update.
Customers’ Travel Link™ service will be active and remain active for the duration of
their factory loaded 1-year SiriusXM™ Satellite Radio subscription.
Labor Operation 95-08-20-05 has been created to aid dealers in providing update
assistance to customers requesting help from their dealership. This labor operation
reimburses a $15.00 flat fee to the dealership. A skilled technician is not required to
perform the customer assistance under this labor operation.
NOTE: Dealers may order MOPAR part number 68141133AA to have a Travel Link™
update disk on hand if desired. This same disk may be used to service
vehicles in Group 1 and in Group 2.
POLICY:

many times you will find more info on the WK2JEEPS site than the dealership knows about

K40 Recall
Dealer Service Instructions for:
Customer Satisfaction Notification K40
Monroney Label Information

I hope this helps those that were wondering about it

Ok, I made my own disc now. Did you guys leave the truck on or just let it update run with the key to on but truck off? I don't want to let my truck run for 20 mins and not go anywhere and I don't want to kill my battery either...
