Question Best Performance Exhaust Setup

Currently have true dual exhaust with no x pipe with two aero turbine 3030. Looking to buy Pacesetter headers with the 3inch y pipe. Should I stay with a single in single out or cut the y pipe and put true dual with a x pipe. Looking for the best performance set up. Heard with 3 inch you don't get enough back pressure or is there another setup that is better?

I would do an X-pipe setup for scavenging! Also custom tuning would make the most of a true dual setup. 3" single is plenty of flow for N/A motors

If you go true dual, get that x-pipe in and don't go too big on the tailpipes, muffler inlet/outlet or the x-pipe.

Since you'll have a lot of flow with that setup, I'd stick with 2.5" to 2.75" pipe and inlet/outlet sizes.

my best performing exhaust is the one I have on now (and i did a few different configs before this)...it is a true dual hybrid where it is dualed to the muffler and then single openning on exhaust side (I flipped the typical muffler config that others do)...I have an H right where a Y pipe would have been as well..

Wow never seen that before. What kind of muffler do you have and how big is your piping.

running 3" piping from the lt header collectors...am running a 22" magnaflow 3" dual in/3.5" single out... then again, my motor is pretty modded so if you duplicate, go smaller dia piping or muffler..

yeah I gotta say I really like chefreds exhaust set up, its very cool. And I only have one cutout in the body for a single pipe so it would be a sick set up for anyone with a Bee. So if you think the pipe sizing is a bit big for those not as modded what would you reccomend? 3" in to 2.75 out?

yes...3" in/2.75" out...this would be good with almost any modding until you do heads or nitrous.. or, do a cutout right after the Y and get any exhaust flow you want..
