Post photos so we can make good suggestions. I'd probably use a 3-M stripe/decal eraser. There are also chemical strippers that can help. Stop by your local Car-Quest dealer and they can point you to the right products. They supply many of the body shop supplies that my brother-in-law uses.
If it is just a stripe, use a heat gun and peel it off then maybe hit it with the 3M wheel. A picture or better descreption of the graphics would help, it sounds like you might have the aftermarket hockey stick stripe
The rest of the stripes id took off carefully with an ice scratcher.
After removing the whole stripes you just have a difference btw. the "normal" parts and the sticked ones, so use a light polish on it and you'll wont notice a difference anymore
