Default 03 hemi 268 cam problems

hi, i have an 03 dodge ram hemi 5.7. i have installed a comp 268 cam, headers, jet chip stage 3, cold air, etc... when i installed my cam the specs said requires aftermarket tunning, so i ordered a hypertech 3 and my truck ran ok but sometimes would shut off when i came to a stop. so i recently ordered a diablo sport and when i went to install it to my truck diablo sent me a message saying they cant send me a custom tine due to my cam and that i would have to take my truck to a diablo dealer. so, its gnna cost me another 450.00 to ge a custom tune. will i be able to tell a difference with the diablo programmed to my hemi or should i just keep the hypertech III instead. thanks for any info

Once you get the tune sorted out, that thing will be a monster! And like Freddie said, I have also read nothing but great things about Hemifever Tuning! I will be using him when the time comes!

268 is a bit much for an 03...it'll be tricky getting it tuned right (if it can be). Usually people stick with a 260 or similar because of the limitation. If you convert it to an 05 PCM then you can really take advantage of that cam.

Never thought about this? How hard is it to do something like an 05 PCM conversion? Engine is still at machine shop so I have time to work on stuff and repair as well.

Thanks,
