Had my drivers side replaced
They no longer make the mirrors with "ice blue" (puddle lights)
Even tho they are in the 2011's
So they had to replace my passenger side mirror to match....
LED's were all corroded on drivers side and its all one piece...
The new and crappy color is like 3000k yellowish white
So if something happens to one of your mirrors...........Say good bye to the ice blue color
At least on my model mirror on the Sport

I just bought a 2011 sport and noticed the driver side is blue and the passenger side is white. So are you saying if I have the white one replaced it will still be white. The blue white side looks better and brighter. Its kind of sad they don't match on a new truck. Between my tick at idle and these unmatching mirrors I am starting to worry about quality.

Well that just sucks, I think the blueish color is really cool looking.

I had to have my drivers side mirror replaced a few months ago because I had water in the light (2010 model) and the lights were both blueish-white, and the replacement matched perfectly.

@ My ss got a ls,

If I didn't know any better I'd think I wrote this original thread myself! I have the same, exact issue and the same, exact problem. Except in my case I not only want to know what's up with the ice blue OEM LED not being replaced with the original but also if the new, upgraded mirror assembly is an actual FIX for the seal problem that caused the leak and had us replace the mirror in the first place.

I also couldn't help but notice everyone else who posted here and had the leak issue had it on the DRIVER'S SIDE. So it seems by the numbers that it is the driver's side mirror that had the issue. Another thing I don't get is how the 2011's have the "ICE BLUE LEDs" yet the replacement mirror are the dull white LEDs? The interesting thing to that is that UPSTATER said his were replaced and he GOT THE ICE BLUE LED's...so i'm thinking there is a different part number for the ice blue led's. Obviously if UPSTATER got his replaced correctly, then the correct mirrors are out there.

What's worse (about the bland white) is that I have blueish/white HIDs on my headlights and fog lights as well as blue LEDs in the cabin...so that one white bland led does really looks tacky as hell.

Anyone else know more info on this?

I e-mailed my service adviser about the lights, he claims there's only one part number for the puddle lights. I guess I got lucky with my replacement!
