Default Change your spark plugs!

29,953 miles and half of mine looked like sh*t! Took me 2.5 hours taking my time, I'm no mechanic. The truck definitely runs smoother and accelerates smoother and easier. I was averaging 14.5 mpg before the plug change, down from about 15.9 when it was new. We will see what I get out of the next tank?

Just wanted to let ya'll know that there is a noticable difference with new plugs. I didn't think it would be with just 30k, but I guess dodge knows what their talking about when it comes to plug change intervals.

Yea, you should. It's not that bad. I did mine with a 3/8 drive ratchet a 8" extension, two 3" extensions and one wobble knuckle. Obviously I did not use these all at one time LOL! You can get to most of them with just the 8" extension. However the drivers side rear gets creative. You have to build your extensions 1 peice at a time as you lower them in the hole. I didn't remove anything except the air intake and the motor cover. I wonder if everyone else that has done their own change was suprised at the condition of their plugs?

i bet it was the cylinders that run when mds is on that looked bad. i'm concerned about that, using half your spark plugs all the time while the others randomly rest, just seems imbalanced the older the plugs get.

I would love to do that, but I don't want to lose my lifetime powertrain warranty. I am not convinced that the Diablo is undetectable even if its taken out of the computer.

That's not a problem. When i have to go to the dealer, i put the stock tune back on the vehicle. So they don't see a thing of it and when they wanna do an update, it's not a problem because the stock tune is in the pcm

So don't worry, you may do it without fearing your warranty

Yea, but if I had a major claim like my motor was blown, do you know for certain that they can't pull the computer and see that it has been changed and put back to stock? Surely there is some sort of counter in the computer that keeps track of dates and number of times it was accessed. They wouldn't go through the trouble for a minor fix, but I bet they would before they replaced the whole motor or trans.
