I take it you have the ESP button pushed and sporting the associated light on the dash. If so, have you tried it without turning the ESP off.

Sometimes it's on, sometimes it's off! It doesn't seem to make much difference though.

When I have it turned on, I can't even spin on ice! But turn it off, and I need to rotate the tires every 500 miles to keep the wear even. Are you running a tuner ?? .... I'll answer my own question; they don't having any available for the 2011 yet.....Hmmm. At this point, I'm actually envious of your problem.

It's sort of a good problem to have! It's crazy how easy it is to spin my tires and I've already rotated them twice with only 4,000 miles. I have only purposely spun them twice..and accidentally spun countless times. I just love stoplights...

I think the R/T's traction control is more lenient than the ESC on other trucks. My dad's ST with 3.55's will all but come to a stop by the ESC if you start to spin but my R/T gets sideways and laughs about it later.

On a happy sidenote, I know your R/T has the Forteras on it and not the Wrangler HPs, but I killed my tires in like 12,000miles. No. Really. Killed.

You might be right about the R/T being different. To be honest, I'm disappointed by how similar the R/Ts are to the other trucks.

I sure hope my tires last longer...what tires do you have now?

I've got some 285/50/20 Toyo Proxes STII's(emphasis on the II's because it's a different tire). The sidewall says they're rated Treadwear: 420, Traction: A, and Temperature: A if you know what all that means, I don't.

But in practical use, they seems to grip alot better than the stock 265's and so far after about 3k miles hardly any tread wear. I've gotta admit I've been easier on these with no real burnouts, but still I spin off alot. They have almost no road noise and are smooth driving.

I've already got 285/45/22 Goodyears because the 22 inch wheels are wider. I'm hoping to get some 305s next though if I can manage it without getting any rubbing.

MADDOG had a post earlier on this thread stating that tread wear ranges from 200 to over 400 with 200 being sticky, and 400 being hard and slippery. With yours being 420, I can see why they are lasting longer!
