Default Build up for my 05 hemi

I have a 2005 dodge ram 1500 4x4 hemi. Runnning 35x12.50s true duel super 44 flow masters and k&n cai other than that I run all synthetic lubes. Been trying to do as much research as possible about what I can do to help turn those 35s and pull my boat. I've basically come to the conclusion that either I'm going to have to cam and gear or supercharge..... Problem with the cam and gear is I'll be pulling my boat at 6k rpm running 55 down the road lol but the super is going to be alot harder on the motor right? And if I did go super what would be the best way to build my engine to get ready for the super. I DNT want to strap that thing on and then blow my engine 6k miles down the road ya know......

you dont need to go that extreme right away, you can do bolt ons and go from there. Start with a Diablosport tuner, add some headers, and possibly a ported throttle body, that right there will make a world of difference. And depending on what gears in the rear you have stock, yeah you prolly could upgrade that, mine came stock with 3.92's and at 70 mph im just under 2k rpms

Yea hopefully next month I'm going to get some pacesetter long tube headers and high flow cats see what that does I guess

If need be my truck can go 130+ with 4.88's and 28" tires so i don't think you have to worry about topping out of rpm/speed for your needs. If for some reason you do need to go higher than that then hopefully your 35's have W or Y speed ratings.

Ya I was just exaggerating the point that lower gears would equal higher revs at lower Mphs ya know. I would get there quicker but I need something that can get me to the lake and back withought using 2 tanks just to get there lol

4:10's are the best all around gear for 35's, my buddy has that combo (locker in the front, limited slip in the rear) in his cherokee. Highways arent a problem at all but he wishes he had gone with 4:56.
I think your a little to far ahead of yourself with the mods. I would get re-geared and see how your truck does. A supercharger isnt going to keep your truck from redlining on the highway anyway, its only going to help it get there faster

Exactly what Kay 9 said. The gears are affected by your tire size. But if you do a gear swap I believe you'll have to do the front too to maintain 4x4. With the longtubes and a predator tuner you will have a whole new truck! Do those two mods and I doubt you will have any more issues with power...
