Default Left brake and turn signal

I'm having a problem with my left side only turn and brake lights.

I've tried the following to correct the issue:

Checked both bulbs - visibly, ohmed and inserted new
Checked voltage at outlet - 9.2 - to low to burn a 12v bulb
Checked fuse in mtip (integrated power module) is good
Checked wiring and harness from assembly at rear all the way to the mtip and it is in stellar condition - like new

Checked brake switch - when i was screwing around with this part, i turned the lever on the switch and magically the brake light and turn signal began to work again. I thought the problem was solved. I turned off the ignition, removed the key, confirmed all lights were off and with puffed up chest strutted inside for the evening. About an hour later I get a knock at the door and my neighbor was alerting me that the running lights were on. I went out to confirm and could not get them to turn off, so i raised the hood and pulled the fuse til morning. When I put the fuse back in the original problem surfaced again.

The most annoying part of this whole ordeal is the incessant alarm that sounds every time I engage the brakes or turn signal and since I've been doing a lot of city driving lately It's driving me batty.

Any ideas?

P.S. I reviewed Haynes manual, researched the dodgebodybuilder.com site and have not been able to lock in on a possible cause and solution.

Thanks for the help in advance

First of all, why is this thread a poll?

My brother has a truck similar year to yours, might be an 06, not sure, but he had weird electrical issues that didn't make any sense, something to do with a bad switch in the steering column, or maybe in the dash, can't remember. Also could be a ground. Beyond that I'm not much help...I'd start with the grounds and checking those.

Default Thanks

I just found another forum that mentions the multi function switch in the column. Seems like the next logical place for me to look
Thanks for the heads up

you jogged my memory, that is what his problem was...he'd put on the turn signal, and his wipers would come on, or high beams, or something weird like that...

Wow I have the same problem! I am about to change the switch today. I have a 2005 Quad 4x4 5.7. I have no rear brake light nor turn signal. The driver's side front flasher will blink fast. I hope this solves this issue.
