Default Dealership damage at 342 KMs.

My first post, and I must say that these forums are great....

Anyhow, I was looking at my 2011 Sport crew last night and I noticed that my front left tire had some bulges in it. So I called the dealership service dept and they told me to bring it in this morning to get it looked at (fixed).

I bring it in at 830 and they take the truck away. He asked how many KMs on the truck, and I said 342...342000?...no...342....I am still on my first tank of gas...yup brand new. He looked at the tire and said he needed to take pics...send them to Chrysler....blah blah blah. He instructs me to wait in the lounge for the truck.

An hour and a half later, the fella who was taking care of me asked me if I had a "hard hat"? What? A "Hard Hat"? Was he on crack or something? He said that I might need it after I see the truck......he was right....

The truck's passenger front door was damaged. The B pillar had a 2 inch anti-dent in it. From the looks of it, who ever was changing out the tire for the spare left the passenger door open and backed the truck up. The door caught on something and was bent back, damaging the B pillar.

Yup....so a trip to the dealership to change out a tire has resulted in the necessary replacement of the entire door. They said it will take a week, but I wont hold my breath. They had Enterprise lend me a truck for the time being.........

So, I will not be taking my truck back to that particular dealership again. I was told that the fella who messed up my truck was a "new" employee. Apparently, my truck isn't good enough for the experienced fixer-uppers.....

Stupid dealership.

The repair better be perfect....

Welcome to the forum and sorry for your troubles.

I'd give them one more chance. Now that they've messed up once with your truck, they will be much more cautious...just a thought...

Ouch, that really sucks and I know how I'd be feeling right about now were it me but good luck, sure hope they get it fixed and correctly and welcome to the forum!

This isnt strike 1, it is strike 8.........

They "fixed" the same thing on my wife's PT cruiser 7 times before they got it right (convertible weather stripping)........they left behind tools in the car on some of those occasions......I should have kept them.

There are other dealerships closer to me that will get a chance before this dealership gets another........notice I havent mentioned the name of the dealership.

Legal reasons? To me, if you're telling the truth how could their be a problem. I can't imagine how this should be kept a secret. It seems like this dealership needs some negative press to get their act together.
