The 2011 Express did not come with a rear sway bar (makes no sense to me). I have purchased the Hellwig 7709 and mine did not come with end links. I have searched the Internet, local auto parts stores and even the Dodge dealer where I bought my Express and everyone says that they are not available since the vehicle is a 2011. Obviously this is not correct, but until I thoroughly determine that a 2009 or 2010 end link for a 1500 will work...I'm not going to take a chance. I am open to suggestions and advice from the brain trust here at the ramforumz.com

I wonder how this would work in conjunction with the 2/4 drop on mine. fairly inexpensive so I might have to give it a try.

Default Extra info for the "link-less" like me,,,

If you are like me, and your Reg Cab did not come with a rear swaybar, as indicated previously, you'll be needing some additional parts,,, This single fact has been why I hadn't attempted to purchase / install a rear swaybar,,,

I looked at 'offroad' / universal endlinks,,, too much money and how do you know what length/hardware ya need,,,

Decided to go OEM

I went online to one of our sponsor's:

http://www.moparonlineparts.com/

Nothing but good things to say about the experience. Best price I could find, the right stuff, and it showed up in a very reasonable amount of time,, (not late or anything,,, and it's Xmas week to boot,,,)

OK,,, What I have learned that might help folks who need to buy links, etc,,,

When you order an endlink, it comes with the top bolt, 'special' (!?!) top nut, and lower nut. No need to order any of the nuts/bolts for the endlink that are shown seperately on the website.

As you may have guessed, you will need to order (2) links. About ~27~ bucks each.

Part # on box is 1-68041718AC. (Below barcode it says 68041718AC)

This takes care of everything you need to hook your frame to the ends of the swaybar.

The OEM bolts that connect the U clamps to the rear axle housing,,, They want over 3 bucks a piece for each bolt. I ordered (1) and fully intend to match it the best I can at a local hardware store.

The shank is approx 30 mm long from the base of the head to the tip of the bolt with the first 5 mm containing no threads (for alignment purposes only on the assembly line)
Approx 8 mm dia.
Appears to have a 15 MM head with "10.9" listed on top.
Has a silver coating on it. (Not galvanized, scrapes off easily with a pocketknife)
And finally, there is a thick flat washer installed on it which has an approx OD of ~20~ mm.

Part number handwritten on bag it came in is 6502467

Yes, it's metric, no doubt about it, but if you aren't familiar with mm, and are with familiar with SAE, I'd say it's about a 3/8 X 1 1/4.

I know I won't be able to find the EXACT same thing at a hardware store, but I'm willing to wager I can find something that will work for far less that ~$3.50~ each,,, (4 required)

Thanks to BradC, his pictures and everyone else who posted, after a trip to the hardware store tmrw,,, my truck will FINALLY have a rear sway bar!!!!

I'll probably do the front 'in Hellwig' here shortly as well. Best shipped prices I found for the bars was on Amazon.

Default Install Update

Well, my quest to save a few bucks on bolts wasn't as fruitful as I had hoped.

"10.9" indicates high strength,,, The 'commomly available' metrics around here are mostly 8.8 (or 8.2, can't remember)

Verified the size/pitch to be M10 / 1.50.
25mm length would work, but 30mm would also work and would likely make for an easier intall.

Be that as it may,,,

It probably would not be a HUGE issue to use slightly softer bolts, but, to me, it's not worth taking the chance,,, (If the bar ever came loose from the axle,,, ole chit, that would suck!!! )

Dealer had enough of the OEM bolts in stock to set me up,,, With tax,,, 5 bucks each,, (didn't even offer me a reach-around,,,)

To recap, (2) part number 1-68041718AC (link w/hardware) and (4) 6502467 (U-clamp to differential housing bolts) are all the OEM parts you need to install an aftermarket rear sway bar to a 4th Gen RAM 1500 that was not equipped with one from the factory.

I haven't driven the RAM yet, but I'm fully aware of the improvement adding a rear sway bar will make. I did the same with my old 2000 RCSB Silverado before and was very pleased,,, With the RAMs higher center of gravity,,, even more sway control is necessary/beneficial.

Haven't even driven it yet, and I'm already pricing the front bar.

Amazon went from $174.30 to $237.86 shipped, (WTF?), so RACE-MART @ $184.31 everyday shipped or Suspension Connection (1/2 off shipping promo) @ $183.01 are currently in the lead,,

Is it only the regular cabs that do not come with a stock rear sway bar?

Try browsing on a different computer, or from a different IP. The big online sites these days are tracking what you look at and adjusting prices hoping to get some more cash off yeah when you finally decide to pull the trigger on the item you have been ogling :P
