Default Truck detail and brake dust removal

Hey guys, the other day my buddy detailed my truck. He washed the exterior, interior, and waxed it for me. He also detailed the engine. Reason why I am posting is because of the brake dust that accumulated on my rims. Ever since I bought my dodge, there was this black stuff that wouldn't wash off. I even tried brake dust remover from the store, it didn't even budge. My friend wanted to get it off so he tried goo gone. It barely was coming off. After a few hours of trying to think how to get this stuff off, the idea came to me. Lacquer thinner. He poured a little bit on the rag and it came right off . Here are some pics.

Nice looking truck, and glad you got that stuff off your rims. Honestly though it doesn't really look like brake dust accumulation to me. Just my opinion on it.

Looks good man! I don't think that is brake dust either.

well whatever it was, it was hard to remove, but that lacquer thinner made it come off with ease.
