thanks.. I will check it out tomorrow morning! I will also try to do this update tomorrow morning if needed.

If the dealer did in fact do this for me already and I try to do it again can I do any harm to my radio? I just did the update to add the Travel Link a few days ago if that matters. I have read horror stories of people bricking there radio trying to do certain things/updates themselves...

If you just did the Travel Link update that came on CD, then your radio will probably now connect with your iPod or iPhone just fine. Check to see if it works before installing any other software.

Actually the Travel Link cd doesn't have this uconnect update, unless they changed it. I got that one quite a while back, even though I don't have nav and nothing changed with regard to bluetooth/ipod problems. It did update the radio, but the radio and uconnect module are two separate beasts.

Actually, the update for the 43.1.30 includes the 43.1.10, so just go ahead and be sure that it will be done the first time and use the current update for the 43.1.30. You WILL NOT be able to get this particular update at the dealer. Chrysler won't release it to them for about a month. At that time they will also extend the support vehicle build date to June 1st 2011 as well as rewrite the support for other phones and devices besides the current "support for Apple iPod / iPhones.
Finally the customer gets something while the dealerships say "we don't have it yet".

The easy way to tell if the update was done (and done correctly) is:
1) if you have a touch iPod or an iPhone, plug it in and let it read the iPod, does it read and start playback? If an "error occurred" message comes up, you know it wasn't done.
2) If you don't have an Apple product, try the streaming audio on your phone, does it play fine or is it choppy (fast)? If it is choppy, the update was not done.
3) If the update was done and you try it again, it won't damage anything, but you will get an error message about the Archive about 7 minutes into the update.
Hope this is helpful

Sorry, should have said I have the nav radio. The CD I just got last week had the Travel Link update as well as radio and nav updates.

I checked and it looks like my truck was built 10/10 so it is a very old '11!! I had no idea and its kind of annoying but oh well. I am going to try the .10 update in a minute once I get the files on my USB Drive. I will post back with my results

just finished and it worked perfectly the first try! Tested my 2nd Gen Ipod Touch and it synced up right away and played like a charm! Now why couldn't my dealer do this for me?
