Default 430N radio question

I "think" I understand the differences between the 430, 430N & 730N radios. But one thing still gets me and I can't find any info on. My neighbor has the 730N and he says that he can play DVD's in his screen while the vehicle is in park. He thinks that mine should also play DVD's like his does. The salesman that sold me the vehicle also said it should, but I think I knew more about the truck than what he does.
Since the 430N is listed as CD/DVD/MP3/NAV I think it should play DVD's. I have the TV system for the rear and it plays on it but not on the radio display. Is that why it won't play on the front screen? My neighbor doesn't have the rear TV if that matters.

The 430N with the rear entertainment system will play DVD's while in park on the front screen. While in park push the media hard button on the left side of the unit, listed below will be the option to view the ves. I can post a pic or vid if you need.

I tried that and the VES is grayed out when I do that.
I had the truck in the dealer yesterday to install a brake controller and while it was there I told them to check it out. They told me that mine does not have the DVD function. I find that hard to believe since on the window sticker says 430N CD/DVD/MP3/NAV . Hope this is not a sign of the service at this dealer. I think I knew more about the truck than the salesman and now I am starting to think I might know more than the service department.
They got this truck on a dealer trade from Maryland. I think I read somewhere that it's illegal to have a in dash DVD player even if it only works while in park. I'm wondering if the dealer in Maryland disabled that function before they traded it to my dealer. I'm in West Virginia and I'm sure it's legal to have here.

I've had this truck for almost 2 months now and the dealer still hasn't fixed it! Bed to the service department 3 times now. First 2 times they said "That radio is not equipped to play DVD's". So finally I had my salesman take the service manager out to a truck with the same radio and show him that it does play DVD's. So they had the truck for 5hrs today and bring it back to me and say "FOUND NAVIGATION WORKING PROPERLY BUT DVD PLAYER WILL NOT WORK FROM FRONT SCREEN" No S**t!!!! Finally they see the problem, but still can't fix it???? I'm loosing faith in this dealerships service department already ;(
Anyone out there know what they need to do to get it working correctly so I can explain it to THEM? Maybe I would have been better off buying another Toyota. At least when I took my Taco to them (which hardly never happened) they knew how to fix things.

Haven't fought with the service department about this lately, mostly because I've been too busy to deal with such a small issue. But finally called them today. And what do they tell me? "We called Chrysler and they said depending on the production date it's not suppose to play dvd's." Maybe so but I find it hard to believe, since any other radio that I've looked at on the lot that has that radio plays them. I think it's their way of saying I don't know whats wrong with it and I can't/won't fix it.
I hate shitty service departments. Guess I know where NOT to buy my next vehicle. I wouldn't even worry about it because the truth is I'll probably never use it. But just because they are trying to just "forget" about it, I'm going to keep bugging them until my warranty expires. Which will be a while.

start at page 65 of the radio manual & read at least until
page 68 of the RBZ manual

Video Entertainment System (VES)™
The radio can remotely control the VES™. For vehicles
equipped with VES™, refer to the Uconnect™
Multimedia/VES™ section of the Uconnect™ User’s
Manual on the DVD for additional details.

i read something about being in Park with parking brake set

read page 30 of the manual
page 34

in other words, read the manual, no one is going to do it for you

Slight problem….I don’t have one. Guess with in today’s world with in-dash OEM dvd players and all, they don’t print owners’ manuals. They just burn them on a DVD. Was I supposed to receive a manual other than the DVD. The salesman told me they don’t print them anymore…ugh!
I’ve looked all over the DVD manual and can’t find much about it. And what I do find isn’t doing me any good. Besides I can easily work the in dash DVD player in my neighbors truck on any sitting on the lot that I have seen.
BTW. Automatic transmissions have to be in park and manuals have to have brake set.
