Ram Tex, is that your truck sig with the 5.7 6.6? If you don't mind me asking, what is the bore and stroke of this engine? I saw an aluminum one on the pwr website and was wondering if they have the same specs. Btw, I'd like to hear from the horses mouth about the cam swap and his post swap track results. Just wondering how many valves if any he sent through the pistons, he he! He may not hear anthing at first but once he maxes his to best advance 93 tune performce he'll be on pins and needles...specially without a phase limiter. It's more than likely that B&G just did a reflash and 91 tune for safe keeps...jut guessing

Well its a 6.6 and i cant remember the bore or the stroke id have to call stu and ask him or Chuck the guy that bored my block for the new pistons...

And the reason i built my motor was from a bad cam install back when it was uncharted territory and no one had a clue how to do it... and my timming was way off with this spartan eagle cam and it didnt bend any valves just tore the hell out of the pistons the heads and broke the #4 intake valve guide because i put one of the pushrods into an oil sump hole instead of the friggin lifter... And having a 1/4in of aluminum rattle around in every single cylinder is what did the majority of the damage. Having the cam timing off only scored the all the pistons with valve marks...

But now im pretty much a top and bottem end pro on these motors...

Well, you have a good build now. The one on the pwr site is a 6.6/406 ci mopar aluminum block. About the 6.4 cam swap, I figured you might (snrusnak) frequent the track he goes to. Ram Tex, do you remember the cam specs that tore your engine up, especially the lift?

I have only met Josh twice. Once about 2 weeks before the track visit, and then at that track visit. We just happened to meet, then happened to meet again at the track. He lives right down the road from me but we haven't got together again yet. Seems like a cool guy and I'm sure we'll hang out some more. He's literally like 5 miles from me. We are going to the track again Oct 7th(with a bunch of other people too). I wouldn't say I frequent the track(I'm MOSTLY a street driven person) but I've been there probably a few dozen times in the past couple years. I think they go like every month.

Yeh but that 406ci 6.6 is not a stroker motor... mine is just under 400ci so i just rounded up like all mopar motors do... And i wanted to leave a little meat on the sidewalls for boost... You could call my motor a 6.5 but why its like calling our stock 345ci motors 5.6's....

Way less "ricey" also. For some reason anytime I hear the L word I think of a purple honda civic with neon green under body lighting, license plate "2FST".

What track will you guys be at?? I will have my 6.4 cam swap done by then ready to rock! I talked to Josh a bit and he is real happy with the setup so far especially with a sneeze of nitrous..... My best time for my 09 jeep 5.7 is 14.18 so we shall see how deep into the 13's I can get!! TBF
