and a stock Ram 5.7 cam was only 51.87, so 64.26 doesn't sound too far off!!
the pushrods are the same part for the 6.4 and the 5.7.....not needed!

I'm interested too, did you get your base dyno runs done? I'd like to see those as well. Thanks for testing this for us

Looking on some other forums, and found this....This is a post from Andy of Performance Werks Racing...or PWR, one of the best Hemi builders out there!!!

Yes it will fit, but the 6.4 has valve reliefs in the pistons. Without those, I imagine piston contact would occur in the 5.7 using that cam.

What do you think???? Is there any way to measure piston to valve clearance of the stock cam to see if the extra lift would be too much???

I saw an article about a 5.7 build in Hot Rod. Try and find the article, it's a good read for what you are trying to do.

I dont know of any way to accurately check PTV clearance without taking the heads off and using the clay meathod

this will stand as my base dyno run......you can check clearances with a dial indicator.....its not so much the difference in lift that will cause interference its the cam timing.....im aware that the 6.4 pistons have reliefs cut into them.....the 6.4 also has a higher compression ratio so the piston has more of a dome then the 5.7....i will admit that this is the concern that has me dragging my feet as its alot of work to have to back up......

as for the dyno numbers well..... i made less this time then last time but here it is.....

So only 9 rwhp over a stock 5.7? That seems like a really low gain. What are all your mods?

sorry...read the whole post...that is my base run.....bone stock truck with a predator.....no exhaust,headers,cai,nothin!

BTW most stock 09+hemi's ive seen roll on the heartbreaker (dyno dynamics) make less then 300whp.......

lol was a guy with a modded chevy truck after me only made 222whp and under 300whp on a 75shot.....

i will have everything (cam and springs) this week and will do my best to have it in next weekend....if it dont work out my truck will be apart till i get another cam.....no backing up!
