Default Anyone gone from 3.55 to 3.92

I have a friend that has some 3.92 laying around but was wondering if there is a difference felt which im sure there is but was it a big difference and HOW DID YOUR GAS MILEAGE CHANGE

Isn't it like .13 ratio or so for every 1" of tire. So it could be the close to going from 30.5" tire to 28" tire..

you running 3.55 in that beast??? gas mileage wont change a hole lot but you will get a little more grunt from a dig and better for hauling/ pulling and if they are free worth the swap IMO

i was looking into it, parts for me to do it are around 2k plus 8 hours shop time. So if you can get them for free i would do it in a heartbeat! :smiley_thumbs _up:

No guys im talking about my stock 2010 not my daytona. Im very happy with the 4.56. I was asking cause i want to see if there is a difference in gas mileage on the 4th gen with the 3.92 gears

This isn't from experience, but it should be the same. If anything, city mileage will increase, and as for highway, it's only a couple hundred rpm difference at 70mph, should be roughly the same.

City goes up slightly and highway goes down slightly...the 3.21 gears I have are great on the highway, but I get crappy mileage in town....Same way the 4.56's would be opposite!
