Default Roll-up Tonneau Covers

Hello all, I'm new to the forum and just got a new 2011 ram. My first big upgrade to the tuck is going to be a Tonneau cover.

On my last truck (a 95' ram) I had a pace edwards cover which I loved. It rolled up easily and was super convient. However I got it over 10 years ago, and now that I'm finally in the market for a new one, I'm having sticker shock at the price of how much they are now.

So I'm considering other options and asking can anywone help with experiences, opinions, or diffences between the diffrent brands/types of tonneau covers?

I'm considering the:
Roll Bak
Pace Edwards
Roll-n-lock
TruXedo

Any any other options that can quickly open and close to provide easy access to the bed.

Might want to give Access covers a look too. I'm very happy with mine, paid just under $400 at a local shop.

Truxedo Lo Pro QT here. Can barely tell it's on the truck, I was able to get the TruxSeal tailgate seal for free with it. A must buy!

I second the Access Lorado. Good price and it has been great for two years thus far. It has taken a good amount of use this year bc I load a dirt bike and the tire puts a lot of pressure on the front brace and side rails. It has held up great, so I highly recommend it. Plus, I keep a lot of my riding supplies in the back of my truck during the summer and it has all stayed perfectly dry.

Thanks,
How easily does the TruXedo cover open and close?

and whats the diffrence between the Lo Pro and the Edge?

On my last truck I paired the Pace-edwards cover with some diamond plate bed rails. For the install i took a grinder and smoothed out all of the diamond treads so that the rails of the cover would lay flat. If was pretty time consuming but it looked awsome and i was always getting compliments. (attached is a picture).

So I'm considering a similar look on this one, so I like how the the Lo Pro and edge covers install on the inside of the rail but I'm not sure how it will the change in depth will look, which is why I'm still considering the canister type roll-up covers.

I have the Truxedo Lo Pro as well. My truck came from the factory with the Chrome bed rails and steps. The TLP tucks nicely inside of the rails, where some others would be too wide. Not sure if you have rails on yours or not, but you might want to at least consider that aspect if you ever want to add them.

The Truxedo opends very easily via a rear latch system on the drivers side. It also has auto tensioners so your cover automatically adjusts for temperature changes. Their customer service is top notch and the cover comes with a lifetime warranty. It's a no brainer! lol

Check out the link. The EDGE only carries a 5 year warranty and has a manual tensioner for the cover. Go Lo Pro!!!!
