Default Head Unit

I wanna get a double din head unit so I know i'm gonna need a dock to make it fit but I still want to keep the orange to match the exterior. What are my options?

To get a double din, you have to go custom. There are no kits for that. Single din will work just fine with the proper kit.

They should be offered to buy them together. I personally prefer my local custom audio store, 2nd to that is Crutchfield.com.

I am glad I ran across this thread, I am trying to find some stuff for christmas for my hubby daytona truck and the CD player (6 disk) stopped working all together but the radio still works. I had considered a double din stereo I found but from reading this if I am understanding corectly a single din would be better correct? Also does anyone have a brand preference or ones that work better in the dash. Any help is appreciated greatly

With a double din, the dash would need to be modified to make the opening bigger. A good custom audio store should be able to do this without much trouble if that is the route that you truly want to go.

A single din would be much easier as far as plug and play installation. I prefer the bigger names; Pioneer, Kenwood, Clarion, etc. They offer quite the variety in a single din format.

Crutchfield.com is a great source to research these items for further information.
