I think i am going to go with the single DIN if I get him one, with that I would need to buy an installation kit correct? Which I cannot find where I am going to buy the radio from, so I will check that crutchfield site out probably will be able to find something there. Yeah i am partial myself to pioneer and kenwood and I really like the idea of him just being able to plug and play something rather then having to put out more money for a custom install....

Best Buy sells a pretty big variety of adapter kits and head units. I would check there to save some money on shipping. They also carry the appropriate wiring harness needed for the custom head unit. The harness will cost from $8-$20 and the adapter kit for around $30.
