I love mine, the only issue I had wasn't with mufflex, it was with dodge. they put this little metal stop on the top of the pipe so it keeps the mufflex from going 1/4 inch further on to the pipe. My only advice is to make sure you tighten them up really well. If you don't use a air ratchet, make sure you have an extension (breaker bar or car jack handle) on the end of your ratchet to help give leverage to tighten it up as much as possible. I'm happy I went with mufflex just for the simple reason of being able to do it myself and your putting a great product (Magnaflow) on your truck. You won't be disappointed... There are a few threads about putting one of these on. You can also check out my thread about my truck and see a brief write up on how I did mine. It goes from page 7 to page 8.

I'm happy with the product, though I have a SI/SO so I didn't have problems aligning the tips. However, if I were to do it again I would just had a Magnaflow welded in, as it would have been quite a bit cheaper.

I'm pretty satisfied although it did take a little time to get the tips to line up...I had an issue with the p/s tip sticking out almost a 1/2" farther than the d/s. It still isn't perfect but everything is completely inserted and seated properly. I did have throw out the clamp they sent and use a U-clamp instead due to a crazy rattle. I'm planning on getting larger tips so I'm living with the tip alignment for now until I take it to a shop to get new ones installed.

Default Install Satisfation

I had the 24" installed yesterday (due to my disabilities I am unable to lift). The problem we had was Dodge had tack welded the rear pipes to the muffler as well as the front pipe. Once we removed them the install was fairly simple. The picture in their example showed the drivers side exhaust as the lower exhaust, however on my truck to get every thing to line up it is the upper pipe now. Additionally we had to use a 2x4 persuader to get the pipes to seat in far enought so they didn't stick out beyond the bumper to far. The only other thing we noticed is that Dodge must have used the cheapest stainless steel they could find as the exhaust pipes were rusted badly and the truck only had 4200 miles on it when we changed out muffler and mid pipes. The sound is great in conjunction with the Air-Raid CAI that we installed at the same time. I also installed the Predator at the same time too. I you are going to do this it may not be as easy as some say due to the fact of the tack welds.

if you read the instructions and if you can be two personnes to do it, it will make it easy to install and adjust,

you can look a it wi'll your friend turns the pipe under until you get the perfect alignement and then tight it up,..

I have the 14" Mufflex and I love this muffler..It sounds really good. Especially now that I have the K&N Air Intake and I also just recently removed the resonators. Since I have done these 2 mods man this exhaust sounds even better...Definetly recommend this muffler!!

14 inch mufflex sounds righteous. Easy install, used a friends lift (ha ha), lined up perfect. Had it on little over a year, no problems except the wife complains its too loud. Ugh!
