I am almost ready to get my wheels and tires. I already have HBS 2" leveling kit and a set of Bilstein 5100's.

2006 2500 ST qc sb 4x4

Wheels will be Ion Alloy 18x9 or 20x9.

Tires will be BFG All Terrains in 305/65R18 ( 33.6x12.0 )

or Nitto Terra Grappler's in LT295/70R18 E ( 34.3x11.6 )

or BFG All Terrains in 305/55R20 ( 33.2x12.0 )

or Nitto Terra Grappler's in LT295/60R20 E ( 33.9x11.6 )

Price is about the same no matter which set I go with and the sizes are all close. Can anyone offer any suggestions?

Well I would go with the terra grapplers. I have them on my truck and they have performed well in wet, dry, and icy/ snowy conditions. Plus the tread wear has been wonderful. If I wasn't working a double shift I would post a pic of the tread wear after 15k. They still look brand new. The 15k is majority highway miles though.

I've always been a BFG guy but I really like the look of the Nitto's and they seem to really be popular around here. I live in NY and deal with snow in the winter. Also only lite off roading once in a while. I can get a set of five of the Nitto's for the same price as four of the BFG's. Although I'm not sure if I will. I dont think any of them will fit under the truck and I dont want to leave it in the bed. Kind of pointless to have a spare sitting at home if I'm 100 miles away.

I'm really leaning that way. Just have to decide 18's or 20's. Probably better to go with the 20's. The side wall will be a bit shorter which will provide more stability in turns.

I went a different direction with the wheels. Went with the 18" Nitto's. REAL happy with my decision.

They also fixed an issue I was having that I posted in this thread about.
