Default new to modding

As the title says, I'm new to all this replacing OEM parts with better items thing. I'm also not the most mechanical person in the world so please try not to get frustrated with me toooo fast I bought the truck I did for numerous reasons and plan to use it not only as transportation, but as a learning tool. With that said, I'm looking to do an exhaust mod and I've been searching the forums and have read many excellent posts and have learned quite a bit actually! So here come the noob questions...does where the pipes come out make a difference or is that all just stylistic preference? I've been looking at two flowmaster sets and one allows you to route both pipes out the rear or to each side, one set allows two pipes out on the same side. I'm leaning toward this one http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...=ATVPDKIKX0DER
the other one is listed as "aggressive" sounding and I think that's going to be louder than what I care for. Any opinions on the linked exhaust would be great. Just trying to squeeze a few more HP and MPG out of her and give her a nice sound. Thanks in advance

Dean

You'll love the flowmasters and I think dumping both on the same side looks cool. I belive it's just personal preference however i'm no expert.
